Pet Care Specialist

Pat works within the Detroit Public School system, but because of her active background, she sought out professional pet sitting for part time work and we are so glad she did.   In addition to her work as a teacher, she also did house and pet sitting for close friends and acquaintances and loved it.  As a lifelong pet owner, Patricia has shared her home with dogs, rabbits and pet ducks and she particularly loves staying active with dogs.  She currently shares her home with a special blend Lab mix named Happy and Happy ensures Pat stays on their busy walking schedule.

When she isn’t working or out walking with Happy, she enjoys cooking, reading and watching/attending baseball games.  She even worked seasonally down at Comerica Park.

Pet Care Specialist

Melissa is an avid animal lover and thus a natural fit for pet sitting. She was raised in a house with dogs most of her life and she and her husband became fur-parents to their Blue Tick Coonhound, Ernie. She grew an unexplained love for turtles as well and also shares her life with a Red-eared slider, Mr. Turtle and Desert Tortoise, Spike.

She believes animals, no matter the species, provide humans the perspective of a simplistic life style, sharing unconditional love.

She obtained an Environmental Studies degree from the University of Michigan, Dearborn and in addition to working for us, she also works at The Henry Ford-Greenfield Village. In her free time, you’ll catch her enjoying the outdoors, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Trish grew up with pets like most of us and she saw her family treat them just as any other family member.  That instilled a lifelong love and respect.  She feels a life without pets would be an empty one and we couldn’t agree more!

She always knew she wanted to work in the field of animal care and she returned to the workforce after being a stay at home mom and joined the Woof’n Purr team. She has a Veterinary Assistant certificate which reinforced the feedback she always got; she was great with animals. Trish currently shares her life with two Shih-Tzus who she says always bring her great joy.

When she not playing with her dogs and providing them with her lap, she enjoys spending time with her little Grandson, reading and researching topics of interest and shopping.

Louann’s love of pets started with her first dog when she was in middle school and since then she had a variety of dogs from Bulldogs to Yorkies with her favorite being a Rottweiler.  In the past, she worked for a boarding and grooming facility and also did pet sitting for client pets who could not board.  Louann currently shares her life with a Boxer mix named Bruno, three cats, 14 hens and one ornery rooster, all of whom keep her busy.

In addition to working for us, Louann also works at the University of Michigan.  When she isn’t working or spending time on her property, you may find her quilting or doing crafts for downtime.
