Our Fabulous Team

Shelby

Pet Care Specialist

Hello! I have owned dogs and other animals my entire life! I currently care for my Pitbull Zoey, English Bulldog Bronco, Ferret Chester, Guinea Pig Nugget, Flowernhorn Cichlid George, African Dwarf Frog Kipper and Betta fish named Jewel, Wendy and Tiffany. Owning this many pets is a big responsibility and I enjoy every minute of it. Animals are my life. I truly care about each and every animal that I met and care for. I treat every animal as if it was my own. When I am not working you can find me out on the boat, walking/training Bronco and Zoey, cuddling on the couch with my fur babies and of course cleaning cages/tanks.

Pet Care Specialist

I joined the Woof’n Purr team in the fall of 2018 and have been working daily for the company ever since. My passion for animals started when I was young, and I have owned many pets throughout my life- including large and small dogs, cats, and rodents. When not working, I am a fur-mom to 3 of my own, an English Shepherd named Tate, and two kitties, Mira and Shadow. You could say my life is dedicated to caring for animals! Nothing makes me happier than being able to bring joy to and enrich the lives of our pets, and that’s why I choose to do what I do. You can be assured your animal(s) will always receive personalized and loving care with me.

Tori

Pet Care Specialist

Tori joined Woof & Purr because she has loved working with animals since she was a child. She and her mother have rescued and fostered many cats and dogs over the years. She currently lives with her boyfriend and two cats, Bobby Flay & Cleo. Her favorite activities outside of working with animals include crafting, gardening, and spending time outdoors; such as camping and riding bikes. She is currently enrolled in nursing school because she enjoys helping people as much as she does animals.

Natalie

Pet Care Specialist

Natalie has never known a home without pets.  From childhood to adulthood, she has acknowledged the menagerie of dogs, cats, turtles and hamsters to be equal members of the family to their human counterparts; often referred to as “brothers” and “sisters” by Natalie’s parents.  From Texas, to DC, Baltimore, New York City and, now, Detroit- she has always been accompanied by her fur family.  It is, without a doubt, a sincere delight for Natalie to care for your family as well.  Currently, Natalie shares her home with her husband and their Shetland Sheep Dog, Hannibal.  Hannibal is named after her father’s first sheltie and the unique namesake was inspired by Hannibal, the Carthaginian commander that led elephants through the Alps to defeat the Romans.  Natalie has a Bachelor of Arts from American University, a Masters of Science from Fordham University and is currently seeking a second bachelors degree in Nursing.

Tatiana

Pet Care Specialist

Hey! I’m Tatiana and this is my pup Navi! Growing up, pets have always been a part of the family.  My love for animals comes from my natural ability to care for others.  Working in both healthcare and pet sitting, I am able to connect with fun interesting personalities – people and animals alike! My pet-sitting career began with helping friends and family. I’ve worked with all different types of natures: energetic puppies, shy cats, pets with medications, post-surgery pets, and so on. Being a pet owner myself, I understand the worry we have when leaving our pets at home. For this reason, I understand the importance of creating a bond, be it an once-in-a-lifetime meeting or an on-going weekly adventure of playing and learning about each other. When I’m not working, you can find me exploring the outdoors, traveling, or spending time with friends and family.  I am looking to share exciting park escapades with energetic animals or relax with anxious pets who get a little lonely while their parents are hard at work.

The first picture is cat Mia, the second is cat Dexter, and the bottom is of dog Lola and oldest cat Axle. All of our pets are rescued pets. Mia is full of attitude and lovings, and she came from the Dearborn Animal Shelter. We adopted Dexter 3 years ago from the Dearborn Animal Shelter as well. He is the most affection cat! We adopted Lola also from the Dearborn Animal Shelter 2 years ago. Her favorite day is Halloween, where she sits on our front porch and greets all the kids. Axle is 17 and she became ours 14 years ago. She is very loving and affectionate! Each of our pets have their own personalities, and I couldn’t imagine not having them. Our love for them is huge!

As to why this job?  Why wouldn’t any animal lover want a job like this.  You get to work with animals every day and get paid!  Sound like a good fit!  Lastly, I love to spend time with my children Alex and Sam. We enjoy traveling to different beach destinations.  In my spare time I enjoy golfing and coaching.  I have coached hockey for over 30 years.

Pet Care Specialist

I am a lifelong dog owner. As a child our household always had at least one dog. Usually a small to medium size mixed breed. As a teenager, I also had a cat that lived to be 12 years old. I was raised to be a loving and responsible pet owner.

As an adult with my own family we have raised Labrador Retrievers, Springer Spaniels, Coonhounds and Boxers. Overlapping with the dogs we had a cat that lived to be 14 years old. My children who are now adults are very responsible and loving pet owners who have provided us with “grand dogs”. A Chihuahua and a Lab mix.

Due to my particular affection for Boxers I am a very active member of Boxer Haven Rescue. My husband and I do short term fostering in our home and conduct other business for BHR. We also dog sit for the alumni Boxers in our rescue group and for friends and family.

From my years as a pet owner and being involved in the Boxer Haven Rescue group I have a lot of experience with the care needs of dogs and cats. I have always treated our pets as cherished family members and extend the same love and care to our foster dogs and others’ pets.
